Iranian short film “Hooves Beat” at two international festivals

TEHRAN-The Iranian short film “Hooves Beat” written, directed and produced by Fargol Masrurirad and Seyyed Hossein Zeitunnejad is present at one international festival and has been selected to take part in another one next month.
The movie is now competing in the 15th Seoul Yeongdeungpo International Extreme-Short Image & Film Festival (SESIFF), held in the South Korean capital, from September 14 to 19, ILNA reported.
“Hooves Beat” tells the story of Tino, who lives in a border town in Kordestan with his parents and his beloved horse. When the horse gets into danger, Tino has to make a life-altering decision.
Fereydoun Hamedi, Shabbou Soleimani, and Mardin Sheikhmoradi are in the cast of the film, which has so far been screened at international festivals in Bulgaria, Sweden, and France.
A 2022 production, the 13-minute flick is competing with over 40 short films from across the world in the international section of the SESIFF.
Established in 2009, Seoul Yeongdeungpo International Extreme-Short Image & Film Festival is focused on extreme-short and short films, and is looking for intense, compact and dynamic films. SESIFF believes that the short can change the world in a better way through a powerful message.
“Hooves Beat” will also participate in the 38th Osnabruck Independent Film Festival in Germany, from October 11 to 15.
It is one of the eldest and most traditional film festivals in Lower Saxony, Germany. The festival takes place every year in Osnabruck.
Osnabruck offers a cross-section of independent short and long films from all over the world. The festival promotes the exchange between filmmakers and their audiences.
